According to most pundits, the Ravens are the cream-of-the-crop in the AFC North this year. They're the team to beat and are supposedly one of the few teams in the AFC with a shot at winning it all.

I watched the game with a Pitt fan. Most of my friends are steeler fans. We had two TVs going. I watched Bengals and he watched Pitt. In the same room. He kept saying Bell who every time Conner made a play. He is pissed at Bell and never wants him back. I watched at the Jersey shore with most of my remaining siblings. “Bell who?” is definitely the prevailing feeling. I hope he gets his big contract and that he’s $10M in the hole if he sits out til week 11.

We’ll see. 😉 Hope you're right, but all teams in the AFC North have glaring flaws. Starting at the bottom: Cleveland isn't a good team, yet. The Browns are gonna win some games this year, but not nearly enough to put them in Super Bowl contention. Nothing personal, just my opinion, but the Steelers are getting old, the defense (especially that secondary) isn't what it use to be and Roethlisberger's play has been declining over the last one to two years. Couple that with some mediocre drafts as of late, and a third place finish isn't out of the question. However, the Steelers do have a lot of experience and a great receiving corp, so I'm sorta on the fence with them. For now, I don't see them having a great season to be honest. I really think the division is going to come down to Cincinnati and Baltimore, and I hate to say it, but Baltimore may have the edge for one reason only: The Bengals didn't bring in one proven player to solidify the right side of their o-line while the Ravens added several proven players to solidify the entire team. That's right. As talented and young as the Bengals are, their season may be ruined just because two positions weren't addressed and/or handled properly last year by allowing both Andrew Whitworth and Kevin Zeitler to walk and this year by doing virtually nothing during the off-season to improve either position. However, if the Bengals pick up the best available offensive tackle that's available, that would be a huge improvement and possibly be enough to get them the division title. So as of this very second, I see the division leaning ever so slightly towards Baltimore with the Bengals finishing in second; Pittsburgh finishing in third and Cleveland in last place. However, it's early, changes are gonna be made, injuries are gonna happen, so it's really tough to gauge. We'll find out over the next few weeks which teams are in it to win it and which ones aren't. Deep down inside, I still think the Bengals have what it takes to be the dark horse of the division and win it. We'll see.
